We were tasked with creating a title sequence that embodies the theme, Tipping Point, for the 2023 TEDxSydney event.
The film showcases five recurring visual motifs: Anticipation, Pressure, Momentum, Change, and Balance. It follows an abstract entity that undergoes immense pressure during a critical moment of transformation. As the entity goes through this metamorphosis, its surrounding environment is rejuvenated. These abstract representations culminate in the idea that we have the power to shape the balance of the future.
The film was accompanied by a music track composed by Rumble. The track builds in anticipation with the visuals and sets the tone of TEDxSydney. It played as the opening sequence on the day, with snippets of the film introducing and bookending each session throughout the event.
